The Appeal Process Begins

Countryside have now gone to appeal on the planning application “North of London Road”. If you wish to make further representations you must do so by June 24th to the Planning Inspectorate, quoting ref. APP/B1550/W/15/3009453.

We understand the appeal hearing will be held at the end of the year.

We will add more information to this post over the weekend.

About the author, admin

  • It is now even more important to log public objections (in large numbers ) as this decision will be made by just one man – the Government Inspector , and statistics say that more often than not they back Appeals.

Of course we cannot stop it but it is in everyone’s interest to register concerns or we will not get the necessary Infrastructure upgrades –
before 10-15 years of Construction traffic starts!!!!!.

Two four man teams have spent the last few months analysing the data available ( on both Traffic & Flooding ) and there are plenty of
“Facts” ( not opinions ) in support of the refusal of the Outline Planning Application – if you need a synopsis of those findings please
    e-mail me for a copy at Crippsjimpat@aol.com ( Admin – I am quite happy to publish my e – mail address )……JIM.

  • Admin – either the new format is putting people off ( minimal responses to the threads lately ) or it is the usual Public Apathy in respect
of the over-development / traffic mayhem being dumped on us , this is the last chance to object and squeeze some sort of concession on
roads/ junctions. No comment will be interpreted as agreement………….

  • Jim, visitor numbers have been down a little bit, may be public apathy, may be the new format – also I’ve been a bit poorly the last fortnight, so some of the stuff I’ve written hasn’t been too exciting…

  • I have been asked to comment on a NEW application for 500 houses by the Echo. I have no knowledge of any NEW application by Countryside while their Appeal is underway after being refused PP in January. The rumours mill says RDC have found 3million of tax payers money to help their friends attain this building on our Greenbelt. Anyone know which cupboard they found it in when they are turning of street lights to save money?

  • Linda, there is nothing on the council website about a new application , though I have been hearing lots of rumours. Re the public money I don’t know where this public money is supposed to be coming from. Hopefully I can find out more next week!

  • ADMIN – can you please post a clear / working link to enable objection inputs to this Appeal pleas , I have tried through the RDC website
but as always it is not user friendly ( even when quoting the relevant ref No you gave ) and I cannot get access – or have they barred me?.

  • ADMIN – can you please identify the Planning Inspectorate address to which we send input ( we are running out of time now – 24th ),
I am interested in the postal address as my submission is 40 pages long…..thanks – JIM.

  • Thanks – the e mail address to use is robert.cook@pins.gsi.gov.uk

I have changed my strategy and sent the voluminous version to RDC as an objection to the re-submission ( as a supplement to my online summary objection ) , because I do not think this will ever get to the Appeal stage , plus the time left is short ( 24th ) so will only send a
    Summary version to the Inspector.
