There will be new constituency boundaries after the next election. So in our district there will be a new Rayleigh and Wickford constituency , and a Southend East constituency.

If you have a look there you will see that these will be two safe Tory seats – on the basis of previous elections, they show the Conservatives starting off ahead by about 11,800 votes in Rayleigh and Wickford, and about 5,800 votes in Southend East.
But wait a minute , what’s that new marginal seat to the north of us? It’s Chelmsford – where the Conservatives are only about 3,700 votes ahead of the Lib Dems, making it a very interesting place for political anoraks….
