Walking down Love Lane before dawn this week I saw a couple of teenagers riding bikes without lights.
Which worries me.
But even if you have front and rear lights on your bike, they don’t help you much in spotting potholes. But some people at Sichuan University’s Department of Industrial Design in China may have the answer:
PS no news yet from the County Council about their proposed lights switch-off.
I reported a raised kerbstone, via Fix-My-Street, 8 months ago and every month since. Also reported it via ECC website and by email to Cllr Bass, from whom I got an automated response to the effect he was ignoring my email. Its still not fixed and is a danger to both motorists and pedestrians. It will be a greater danger once the lights go out. I wonder how much ECC will pay out in injury damages?
Trust me, having been to China and seeing the driving first hand potholes would be the least of your worries…
