The WeatherPixie

This week we’ve added a “weatherpixie” to our website. Her clothes will reflect the current weather conditions in our area (or to be precise, at Southend) and the display will show rain, snow, airborne particles and changes in cloud cover. Daylight, sunset and current moon phase are also displayed.

The figures shown below the weatherpixie are :

  • temperature in degrees C,
  • relative humidity (as a percentage),
  • wind direction,
  • wind speed (in knots) and
  • atmospheric pressure.
  • Her normal home is down on the left hand side of our page and we hope that some people will find her useful. If you click on her picture you can learn how to get a weatherpixie of your own – for your own website.
