Latest figures from Defra, show that Rochford DC recycling rates has seen the Council move down to 18th place in the league table for 2020/21.

In previous years the Council has been in the top 10 in England, but has slipped in recent times falling 10 places from the previous year. We are unsure as to why there has been a downward spiral in the recycling rates and it’s disappointing to see another service area of the Council failing.

With the imminent launch of the the new waste contract, we wonder if the Council will be able to up its recycling rates back to help it back in a top 10 position in the league table?
