The Council chamber was packed on Tuesday 2nd September. Residents were angry at not being consulted on several social housing schemes in the District – particularly at Hambro Close . The Council was forced to backtrack and offer proper public consultation.
No decision has been taken on these schemes – the council will be arranging a public meetings for each of these schemes, so that residents can get information and give their views.
Full marks to our colleague June Lumley who came to one of the council meetings about this when she’d just had 2 teeth taken out. That’s dedication!
