The RDC website advises:
This year both Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day fall on the same day, Sunday 11 November 2007. We will be meeting at 9.30am at the Civic Suite in Rayleigh to join the parade.
Members and Officers of Rochford District Council will be attending the Sunday Parade to recognise the sacrifices made by men and women from all the services that protect our way of life and homeland . The Chairman, Cllr Keith Gibbs will be laying Wreaths at the Lych Gate of the Rayleigh Trinity church and outside The Royal British Legion. The service will be held in Rayleigh Trinity Church at 10.45am.
The Chairman will also be attending a service at the Hockley British Legion, where he will be laying a wreath on behalf of Rochford District Council.
There’s normally a very good turn-out of councillors at Rayleigh for this and as usual there will be Lib Dems there.
