From the District Council website:

Recycling Roadshows
The Recycling Team have been running a number of roadshows around the District so that residents can visit and speak face to face with a council representative about recycling in their area.

The dates and times of the next roadshows and events are:

31st March Easter egg hunt at Hockley Woods 10am – 12pm
26th April St. George’s Day in Council Gardens 12pm – 3pm
7th June Wild Woods Day, Hockley Woods 12pm – 4pm
14th June Royal Oak Pub, Stambridge Road 1pm – 3pm
5th July Great Wakering Primary School Fete 12pm – 4pm
12th July Hawkwell Fete TBA
6th September Ashingdon Carnival TBA

More roadshow dates are still to be added!

Our largest town – Rayleigh – is missing from this list.
Seeing as everybody is going over to a new recyling scheme, we suggest they arrange one in Rayleigh in the next six months as well….!

  • The more roadshows the better- we all need reminding of the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling once in a while. I received an email from the council this afternoon informing me that a roadshow is planned for Rayleigh but no details as yet.
