From the District Council website:

Rochford District Council will observe the one minute silence in respect of the victims of the Tunisia terrorist attack, at 12 noon on Friday July 3rd.

In line with Essex County Council, Rochford District Council flags will be flown at half mast for the day.

Rochford District Council Chairman, Councillor Heather Glynn said; ?Everyone I have spoken to has been deeply saddened by these events. We will be lowering our flags to half mast as a way of expressing our deepest sympathy?.

Chief Executive, Amar Dave added; ?The events in Tunisia, and the loss of life under such terrible circumstances, is a national tragedy. It is therefore right and proper that as a district council we pay our respects. The council flag at the Civic Centre will be flown at half mast all day and all council staff will be observing the one minute silence.?
