According to last night’s Evening Echo….
A MULTI-MILLION pound scheme to develop new health centres across south Essex has been rubber stamped.
The South East Essex Primary Care Trust has signed contracts with Partnerships for Health – part of the Department for Health – and Primarycare, a private sector consortium to form South East Essex Lift.
The company will be involved in building up to 11 health and social care centres across the region, starting with a purpose-built ?8.3million centre on Canvey….
……Further schemes are being planned across the rest of south Essex in the next decade starting with centres in Shoebury, Westcliff, Rayleigh and another on Canvey costing ?40million in total.
This makes us wonder where there is suitable land to build a new health centre in Rayleigh, and what facilities it would include….. there’s nothing about this yet on the Primary Care Trust’s own website
Regulars readers of Onlinefocus may remember that they could well have been a health centre at the Park School Site, until Asda got involved….
