Two new people are starting important roles in the life of Rawreth.

Last Wednesday Paul Trathen was licensed as the Priest-in-Charge of the Parish of Rawreth. It was a very fine ,rather moving occasion, with a sermon from the Bishop of Chelmsford on the theme of love, and “Heaven on Earth” The highlight afterwards was presenting a cake and flowers to a Rawreth lady celebrating her 90th birthday…. and the Bishop leading a crowd of clergy and parishioners in “Happy Birthday to You”.

Hayley Bloomfield from Downhall Park Way becomes the Clerk of Rawreth Council on March 1st. She follows in the footsteps of Spencer Croucher, who has really made the council “punch above it’s weight” in the last few years. Being a parish clerk can be quite a challenging and exciting position, and we very much look forward to working with Hayley on local issues.
