We know onlineFOCUS readers will be pleased to hear that Cllr Chris Stanley has been working hard with Rochford District Council and Rayleigh Town Council to have memorials in place for the late Cllr Chris Black. We believe the Rochford District Council will be planting a tree at Sweyne Park, possibly a Maple and the town council are still in the process of deciding on something suitable. It’s been a long time coming, but we will update readers when we have the full details.
This is an excellent idea and a fitting tribute to our much missed friend. Could the planting ceremony possibly be at the weekend so that people that work could attend ?
