FOUR people have been arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies, including one which led to the shooting of a man outside Rayleigh train station.
The three men and a woman were arrested during a joint Essex, Metropolitan and British Transport Police armed operation at addresses in south Essex and London this morning.
Adam Mapleson was shot as he tried to help a woman security guard on May 25 last year.
Detective Superintendent Michael Field, who is leading the Rayleigh inquiry, said: “The teams entered all three addresses simultaneously at 4am….
