RDC was awarded a Government financial package of just over £900,000 to support the community during lockdown. Details of how they spent this money have now been published.

The District’s residents have been alarmed by the actions of our ‘scrooge’ Council, particularly that less than 1% of the money spent was on emergency food parcels.

It would appear that the Councils’ first priority was to recover it’s expected losses from the car parking fees and have taken to opportunity to draw on £540k to do this.
