Heavy Rainfall Flooding Sees More Misery For Residents Across the District

Cllr Chris Stanley had an early start to the day supporting long-suffering residents in Rawreth who have been flooded once again whilst having to have Essex Fire Service attend the scene to pump the water away.

It’s been ‘floody hell’ for residents living in Rawreth village for years as even though the Rawreth Flood Action Group had consistently raised the issue, the lead flood authority (Essex County Council) have largely ignored their pleas for help. Meetings between Essex County Council and Rochford District Council have taken place to no avail of action.

The situation doesn’t appear to have any end in sight as neither authority has tabled any positive action to try to alleviate the problems in Rawreth.

Cllr Stanley has taken some videos today to show the issues that residents are faced with.
