Today, we’ve been over in Great Wakering assisting the ‘Friends of Rochford District‘ with their exhibition about the new local plan.
Rochford District Council, in their infinite wisdom, omitted to hold a public exhibition in Wakering and we think that was a mistake. Gt Wakering, is a lovely village, with lovely residents to boot and it was an absolute delight for the Lib Dems to be asked, along with Rochford District Residents, to assist F.O.R.DÂ explaining what the new local plan, issues & options, was all about.
It was a busy day and a lot of very concerned residents filled the community hall – not a single resident wanted a new house built!
Cllr Hookway, Cllr Hughes, Cllr Efdes & Cllr Cooper must be congratulated for their efforts to deliver an informative and successful exhibition to their residents. Perhaps they will give the comms team at RDC a few pointers!
