According to today’s Echo:

“Rochford’s Tories are set to fight the Lib Dem threat in West Rayleigh.

New constituency chairman Roy Mills is plannings to discuss ways of raising the profile of the party, which now has only one of the six councillors in the Grange, Sweyne Park and Downhall and Rawreth wards.

A source said ‘Every year, the people in that area are getting half a dozen leaflets from the Lib Dems and only one or two from us.’ “

We think this could be very good news for West Rayleigh residents – if the Conservatives are going to listen to people’s concerns. (There is no point in them delivering leaflets if they are going to carrying on allowing the overdevelopment of the area, without providing proper facilities. )

And this applies to East Rayleigh, and other parts of the district as well.
