Some good community news in the Echo today:
A POPULAR post office in Rayleigh will be open at 6am during the week and 7am at weekends as part of a modernisation programme.
The Grange, in London Road, will be open for 29 hours extra each week as part of the move.
The post office will also be refurbished to give it three serving positions and the ability to offer customers extra services including a cash machine.
Shop owner and postmaster Kevin Palmer was delighted with the move, which comes against the backdrop of post office closures across the country.

This is great news for this area of Rayleigh! Good luck to Kevin & his staff, they deserve to succeed, after struggling on through the robberies & threat of closure. They are all so pleasant & helpful. In fact all shops on The Grange Parade are an asset to our community. Long may they continue. But remember, use it or lose it!
