Some deserved praise for Rawreth Parish Council in today’s Echo:
Town councillors chided for missing meeting
RAYLEIGH town councillors have been criticised for failing to attend meetings of Rochford District Council’s west area committee.
Joan Mockford (Con, Sweyne Park) told the town council she was disappointed so few councillors were at the last meeting.
Chris Lumley (Ind, Grange) added: “You get every member of Rawreth Parish Council, but not many members of this council turning up.I think we should be represented a great deal more.”
By the way, Rawreth Parish Council has it’s own monthly meeting tonight at 7:30 in the village hall. The public can ask questions and get a hot drink and a biscuit or two…
