The various candidates for the local elections in 2012 were announced today – you can find details on the district council website here.
We’re a bit busy tonight finishing off election leaflets to write much but briefly:
Labour have been very ambitious, putting up candidates in every district council ward.
The Lib Dems have concentrated on just a few wards. However, in the two seats we are defending, we have won already because Ron Oatham and Bruce Smart have been re-elected unopposed onto Rayleigh Town Council.
There are some interesting developments involving UKIP.
