Some residents may have been concerned to see a chunk of Mill Hall car park closed. This is not to do with the Conservative plans to demolish the building (thank goodness), but rather planned maintenance of our historic windmill. As shown on the photo a large crane has been employed to facilitate work on the ‘fantail’ gear at the rear of the windmill cap. This is a great structure and it is good to be able to report some valuable maintenance work being carried out on this Council owned building.
