Not sure how a through-road would be received by people living actually in the new houses (because it would be a rat-run) but it would probably benefit long suffering residents that live on Rawreth Lane that regularly have queuing traffic outside their homes. Traffic caused by motorists using Rawreth Lane to get into Rayleigh, or to avoid the congested A127 travelling east towards Rochford etc…
All for a circular bus route around Rayleigh, to abolish the controversial No. 24 Bus Terminus on Priory Chase. This should be made an absolute non-negotiable condition of any new housing plans on Rawreth Lane.
