I have noticed that more than one of the PCs has commented that no one attended their beat surgery. These surgeries are informal and are there to allow people to meet their neighbourhood officer. You can use them to ask a general question, ask for advice on crime prevention or just meet the PC responsible for your area. It does not have to be about a specific incident.
Please use this service as the old saying goes: Use it or lose it.
Maybe the beat surgeries would be better attended if they were held in the evenings when people are home from work.
Rayleigh Resident, I take your point. As someone who works during the day I am sometimes disappointed when things that I would have attended take place when I am at work.
