Christmas Tree Highways Danger

It was mentioned to us by several people that there were signs up for the sale of Xmas trees from the traveller site on the old A1245.

County Highways have asked them to remove the advertising and stop the sales. This is purely on safety grounds to avoid accidents when cars come in and out of the site onto the dual carriageway.

There is no authorised access there at all (and perhaps it’s even more dangerous to come out when your rear view is obscured by a large Xmas tree in the back of your car.)

If you see any signs still there, you can contact either ourselves, or county highways on highways.southarea@essex.gov.uk
