At tonight’s Rawreth Parish Council meeting, everyone stood for a minute’s silence in memory of Vice-Chair Christine Paine.
Christine passed away last Saturday after a very brave battle against illness.
Many of our readers will remember her hundreds of comments on onlineFOCUS – she was a lady who cared very much about her local area, and indeed the wider world. So we were particularly delighted when she became a parish councillor.
Christine was a very intelligent, determined, thoughtful and caring person, and will be sorely missed. Our condolences and our thoughts go out to her family and friends.
Very sorry to hear this. I was impressed with her when I met her as a Parish Councillor. May she rest in peace.
This is sad news. I was always impressed by the reason behind Christine’s posts and I was so glad that she decided to seek election to Rawreth Parish Council. Christine will Rest in Peace.

Christine was a regular contributor to the FunTrivia website. Anyone who visits that site will see that she is missed and mourned by fellow members all over he world.
My sympathy goes to all her family and friends.

Chris was the life and soul of our team on FunTrivia, Pi in the Sky. I was fortunate enough to meet her a couple of years ago, she was warm, witty and good company, a lovely lady. Rest in peace my friend, you will be much missed.
Personally and collectively we are going to miss Chris . It was because of this website that I was able to persuade her to fill a vacancy on the Parish Council. Her incisive and intelligent analysis of local matters made her contribution to our responses to the many immediate problems associated with the ongoing developement strategy so valuable .She had taken responsibility for our emergency plan which was in an advanced stage .She became my vice chairman giving such wise advice and support . She will be a hard act to follow and has been taken from us too soon as she had so much to offer the community in the future .We are planning to plant a rose garden in her memory in the community garden ,the date will be announced later
Chris,we had some good fun on Comedy of Errors and Pi in the Sky..We’ll miss you mate.
She was a highly valued and much-loved member of the Funtrivia community, and we will miss her badly.
Although I live in Australia Chris and I spent happy times together when I was in the UK and we kept in touch online. I shall miss her enthusiasm and sense of fun.
This is the anniversary of Chris’s death, and all her friends from Fun Trivia website are thinking about her. We still miss her so much. RIP dear friend.
