With the ‘Cabinet’ system to stay it will be the ‘same old, same old’ High profile Councillors with large pay packets making decisions where other Councillors have no input! And they call that democratic. Surely they must understand that decisions made, after input from all sides, must be more comprehensive than the standard that is being used. This is a huge chance missed by RDC leaders to demonstrate to the residents that they are actually working for us and want decisions reached to be fair and transparent.
