A local resident has emailed the Rayleigh Leisure Centre as follows:
As a resident of the Coppice Gate Estate, I would like to make you aware that your car park is being used for ‘boy racers’ to practice dangerous stunts after the centre has closed.
This causes significant disturbance to the local residents – to the extent that I nearly called the police last night.
Can I ask that the barrier be lowered when the centre is vacated to avoid this nuisance?
Has anybody else seen this going on? Please send us your comments!
UPDATE Mon 8th Jan: We understand that the Leisure Centre have responded very quickly. They are taking this very seriously. They ask that if , despite their efforts, it happens again, that residents call the police.
