The District Council Website reports on a big community event coming up in Hockley Woods on June 9th – from 12 noon until 4 pm:
From the success of last year’s woodland extravaganza, Rochford District Council have organised Wild Woods Day for the whole family to enjoy.
On Saturday 9th June visitors to Hockley Woods will be able to participate in art and craft workshops creating masterpieces inspired by the woodland flora and fauna
There will be chainsaw demonstrations as well as orienteering for the adventurous and woodland rambles for those who like to take life a bit easier. Stilt walkers and face painters will also be part of the entertainment.
The day is designed to encourage people to learn about the woodland and spend time together being active and creative. This community day is completely free and the activities begin at 12 noon and run until 4pm.
