Back To Business!

Ok, so back to business!

Here’s a selection of meetings coming up over the next fortnight, including some of the parishes we don’t mention very often:

There’s a meeting of Rawreth Parish Council tomorrow night Jan 2nd at 7:30 at the Parish Hall .
The main problem in the last month has been the vile smell from the sewage treatment works. This is despite the efforts of County, District and Parish councillors (plus the clerk!). The sewage works is on the agenda for tomorrow night, although the last news we had was that no-one from Anglian Water was likely to attend.

Canewdon Parish Council start their meeting just 10 minutes tomorrow later night – at 7:40 pm at the Canewdon village hall. Incidentally, it looks like they are creating a blog as part of their parish council website, although there is nothing on it yet.

The first District Council Meeting is the West Area Committee at The Mill Arts and Events Centre, Bellingham Lane, Rayleigh, 7:30 on January 8th. Chris Black has asked for the Watery lane/ Beeches Road traffic problems to be an agenda item here.

Ashingdon Parish Council also meets on the 8th January (they are clearly internationally-minded, as they show the Arabic New Year, the Chines New Year and Burns Night on their Calendar!)

The District Council Cabinet then meets on Jan 9th in Committee Room of the Civic Suite.

Hullbridge Parish Council has a meeting on January 14th at 7:30 at the Senior Citizens Day Centre.

Hockley Parish Council also meets on the 14th…
