The travellers have now departed the field next to Grove allotments. They left the field in a reasonably tidy state; all rubbish was bagged.
Unfortunately, three of the caravans have moved to the field in Priory Chase next to Rayleigh Leisure Centre. The Police visited yesterday evening. The trigger for using S61 Powers was not met at the time last night. The Essex Countywide Traveller Unit has been informed and will be commencing the legal procedures to seek possession of the land.
There appears to be THREE caravans on the field in Priory Chase. More updates as and when we are given.
