When outline planning permission was granted for the Park School site, there was a time limit included. All the detailed applications – for the housing, the replacement sports centre , the new school building and the “Neighbourhood Centre”- had to be submitted by this month.
Now, this causes a problem for Asda. They’ve applied twice for a supermarket to cover most of the “Neighbourhood Centre”, and been refused twice. Although they have gone to appeal, they may be worried that they’ll need to make another application.
So they have just put in an application to increase the time limit for another 3 years – presumably until June 2009.
We will keep you advised on this one.
