This is only the second year of the festival, and hopefully it will get bigger and better in the years to come – providing the District Council maintains its commitment. The cost is about 10p per resident of the town, and this kind of event can only help business and trade , as well as improving the ambience of the place.
Here’s a very serious suggestion – Skanska are in Rayleigh for many months to come, carrying out the gas repairs. They are just doing their job, but closing off town centre streets is going to harm trade. Wouldn’t it be good if Skanska could sponsor the festival next year?
