After taking in all that history inside the Windmill you can put down your shopping bags to relax and unwind in the sensory garden adjacent to the Windmill. This year, the Rayleigh Windmill retained its Quality Assured Visitor Attraction accreditation from Visit England for the fourth year in a row. In their report, Visit England, the national body that assesses visitor attractions throughout the country, praised the warm welcome offered by the volunteers as well as their enthusiasm and knowledge of the Windmill and its history.
