We are doing a bit of spring-cleaning on the website in the next week or so.
First of all, the ‘links’ tab at the top of the screen is working again now.
And we are going to be introducing some new themes and getting rid of some old ones. We know that most people use our standard theme, which has a picture at the top of the page of lots of roofs and a bit of a green field. If you are using that theme, that’s fine.
If you aren’t using that theme, which is called “Atahualpa2”, please look where we have written “Choose the layout you want to see” and switch your theme to “atahualpa2”

This seems as good a place to ask does anyone know what the red helicopter was doing hovering very low over Rawreth for ages this afternoon? They seemed to be having a good, long look at “North of Rawreth Lane and north of London Road” – does it have any significance or am I becoming paranoid?
Lyn, I saw it also and tried, without success, to read the letters on the side with binoculars. I always thought that Red Helicopters were part of the Queens Flight. Perhaps we are going to get a Royal visit!
There has been a lot of low flying helpicopters over the area in recent weeks. The police helicopter has been over on a number of occasions, and the air ambulance had to land over at Lubbards Farm recently.
With regards to the website, any chance you can get the Recent Comments panel to remain near the top of the home page?
I notice that my web browser (Explorer) always has the message “Done, but with errors on page.” in the bottom status bar. Do you know why this is?

To anyone who has problems with layout etc – I’d say use Firefox!
ST1 I don’t intend to change the ‘standard’ page very much – and I certainly don’t want to move ‘recent comments’ further down. But I want to develop other themes, some because they look nice, and others to concentrate on particular subjects.
When you look at the website, what is the bottom item in the left sidebar – and in the right sidebar?
Sid – if you or anyone else wants it, “TulipTime” will stay , but it may not be compatible with some of the things I want to develop such as video!
Chris, on the home page the left sidebar has the “posts with most comments” section at the bottom, the right sidebar has “Categories” and a legal statement at the bottom.
The left sidebar doesn’t start until you scroll down about 2/3 of the page, above and below this is blank (white). The right sidebar starts where the left sidebar finishes, about 3/4 down the page.
I’m using Atahualpa2 theme.
Just a further comment, it is only on the homepage that the sidebars slip down, if you follow a link into one of the stories, they sit nicely at the top of the page.

Looks like I need to adjust the width of the central panel.
Do you know what version of Internet Explorer you are using.
ST1- I have altered the settings – are you OK now?
I think you are experiencing the problem because you are using Internet Explorer 6?
Chris, Thanks for trying, but it doesn’t seem to have made a difference. I’ll see what it looks like on another PC. It’s not a big issue for me, so don’t worry too much about it.
