The Evening Echo has been reporting on the latest Census information about Southend, but they didn’t mention anything about our area. So we looked up Rochford District on the 2001 Census website.
We found that:
Crime figures are relatively low in our district :
– burglary levels are less than one-third of the national average
– robberies are about one-eighteenth of the national average
We are keen on marriage compared with most of England and Wales:
– 60 percent of us over 16 are married.
– only 10 percent of us over 16 are separated or divorced.
– 8 percent of us over 16 are widowed.
