exhibition

Chris Black and Chris Stanley from onlineFOCUS will be down there at about 11 , and will stay for a while.

Incidentally, Chris Black has already asked Countryside why they didn’t arrange a exhibition in the London Road area (maybe at the Grange?). Their response was that they had actually been trying to arrange one.

About the author, admin

  • Everyone please go , they are only going through the motions but we need to get the message over – we are not happy ( 10 years of Construction traffic / no infrastructure upgrades / overwhelming of the sewage system – 800 Rayleigh&500 Hullbridge ).

But put your feedback on their website too – a little chat does’nt get recorded anywhere……..” But they did consult you ” yeh right!!!!.

  • Popped in again today , to deliver a copy of the Tidal Flood Map off of the EA website,
they did’nt believe me on Wednesday evening – glad they have done in depth research on the SUDS drainage design criteria then !!!!!!!!! , and that is on top of the Surface Water( rain ) Flood Risk map I gave them on Wednesday …………..

  • LIGHTS , CAMERA – ACTION ……..
I understand our MP put in an appearance at the Roadshow today ( complete with cameraman as per usual lol ) – look out for a glowing report in the Rayleigh/ Eastwood Times ………

  • When I asked them at the first show why they weren’t doing an exhibition in Rayleigh they said they saw no need as Rayleigh itself wasn’t directly impacted by the development. I and several other people pointed out exactly how it was impacted, so perhaps they are now starting to realise this and change their minds on another roadshow – we can but hope.

  • After sending an e.mail to Countryside as well as various Councillors, RDC Planning and our MP I was surprised today to get a very full response from Shaun Scrutton. In fact he does directly answer some questions, although others are on the lines of “will be dealt with at planning application stage”. Still, at least he answered, and addressed each and every point.

  • Did he explain why , just weeks after the Inspectors report , we are already seeing the committments are already fading away ( RTS&SC / Priimary School) ?, more deletions to follow no doubt!!!!.

  • RTS&SC staying where it is. Countryside will contribute towards the expansion of St. Nicholas primary which was always designed to be expanded.

  • Why then did their Mill Hall display ( just 3 weeks ) ago , say New Primary School ?a
Or was that just the sales pitch to the IInspector/ Councillors who sanctioned the scheme…………..used car salesmen or what .

  • Mill Hall was the Council and they seem not to have up-dated their plans to coincide with their recent decisions. I think Chris has already said somewhere else on here that St. Nicholas was always designed to be expanded so it was likely that no new primary school would be needed, and the decision on the Sports Club seems to be a very recent one.

  • Jim, I believe that a primary school was included because that’s what someone at the County Council asked for . I was surprised at this because 550 new homes, or even 770 if you include Rawreth industrial estate, doesn’t require a whole new primary school. I was told back then that the number of children growing up in other parts of Rayleigh made a whole new school necessary.

Clearly that advice has changed – I have asked RDC for more info.

  • Christine / Chris – we don’t have to do apologies for RDC & ECC , the only way we will get anything out of this is to pursue them on every point , when they say RTSSC have earned a new and enhanced facility and we need a Primary School – then renage ,the
Question is 7 years and £2.1 million spent on Core Plan and it is flawed.
