From Rayleigh Through The Looking Glass:

Royal Coat of Arms have been displayed in churches throughout the country since the Reformation (Henry VIII). The one in Holy Trinity dates from the first part of the reign of Queen Anne (1702-1707)Located on a wall in the North Tower it had gone unnoticed for the past 100 years as it was covered in grime…. Restored in partnership between ourselves and the Friends of Holy Trinity ?it now looks just as it did when painted 300 years ago.

Next time you are in Rayleigh pop into the Church and have a look.
