Chris emailed the Rochford District Council finance department this morning to get some news on how much government grant we will get in 2004. This is crucial for working out how much council tax people will be charged next year.
Unfortunately the situation is as clear as mud. We are losing ?426,000 from one pot but hoping to get more from another pot, but the finance officers don’t know how much it will be yet. Fingers crossed we will be OK….. otherwise we are paying even more next year.
