Some info from our local police:

The next ASB meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 17th July 2013 at 1830hrs. We have kindly been offered St Nicholas school as a venue as I know many could not be heard in the busy Rayleigh Leisure centre.
I?m aware there have been further issues in Sweyne Park including ?25000 worth of damage to the play equipment.
Mopeds have been stopped and follow up enquiries have been made. Patrols continue as often as we can.
Hopefully we may also have representation from Rawreth Parish Council and Rayleigh Town Council as both have been invited through this email.
Please pass details of the meeting to others. I look forward to seeing you all there.

  • Given the fact that £25000 pounds worth of damage has been caused in an arson attack ( not to mention the cost of the previous damage to cars ) The phrase “Patrols continue as often as we can” is simply not good enough. This is a serious matter and must be given the attention and focus by our police to put a stop to it.

As an observation, why are there always enough police cars and officers available to speed to any traffic incident, however minor, yet never enough to attend ASB incidents.
