It’s very disappointing not to get the officers support on this when we have councillors from different parts of the district and different political parties supporting this. You can expect a fairly heated discussion….
What would the criteria be for a permanment crossing?
Sean, the criteria is normally based on “PVsquared” – where P is the number of pedestrians and V is the number of vehicles (using the site within a certain time period).
Also the speed limit is a factor – above 30 mph you have to have s signal-controlled crossing
