We had the following email today from an onlineFOCUS reader, we have passed this on to the District Council and asked them to get Bellway to clear this up:
When I drove home from Rayleigh this morning the road outside the Bellway Homes site at the old Electricity Board offices was absolutely caked in mud from construction traffic for some distance. Had anyone had to hit the brakes hard then they would have just skidded, and if a bit of damp gets on it then it will be even worse. I know this weather makes it difficult for them but I’ve seen a road washer going up and down from time to time, perhaps in the current conditions they need to use it a bit more frequently.
