An application for 16 new dwellings was refused at tonight’s development committee. Reasons for refusal included the lack of affordable housing. The council has a policy that developments over 15 dwellings has to have 35% affordable housing.
Surprisingly some residents watching in the public gallery seemed genuinely disappointed, something we don’t often see (or hear) in the development committee.
